Saints Marys Bay House

Saint Marys Bay House

The inspiration for this project was to create a tranquil courtyard sanctuary that functioned as an extension of the home while delivering a strong architectural statement. At its heart sits a sculptural water feature, carefully positioned to be appreciated from multiple viewpoints throughout the property, creating a sense of calm through sound, movement and reflection.

A monolithic slab of Negresco granite forms the centrepiece of the design, complemented by Garonne limestone paving and layered planting that softens the surrounding architecture. Retained Cupressus totems provide vertical structure, while carefully curated materials and planting create a cohesive and sophisticated landscape composition.

Despite the complexities of a confined urban site, exceptional craftsmanship and precise coordination brought the vision to life. The result is a refined outdoor retreat that seamlessly blends landscape, architecture and water, earning recognition as the Gold Winner at the SPASA Awards of Excellence 2026.
